Let it be known that the victims of the Gulf Oil Disaster deserve to be heard by a judge with no ties to Big Oil.

We are here to make sure that the residents of the Gulf Coast are compensated for their loss in a fair and timely manner. On July 29th, a panel of Federal Judges met in Boise to combine the pending lawsuits concerning the BP oil spill. There were many arguments from both sides on where these lawsuits should ultimately be held. We were there to show support for the residents of the Gulf. A decision should come in two weeks.

Back in June, BP requested that a single Judge preside over the combined lawsuits: Judge Lynn Hughes of Houston, Texas. Judge Hughes has deep ties to the oil and gas industry. We demand that the lawsuits be handled by truly independent Judges who are free from the influence of Big Oil.
